Open an existing file

To open an existing file, click the Open button on the ribbon, or press CTRL+O, and use the file explorer dialog to locate the file.

Only one file can be opened at a time.

You can open existing files even if your version of Portfolio does not have the components required to reload data into them. For information about reloading, see Reload data.

If a file has been protected (encrypted), you will get an additional Password dialog to type in the file's password. See Protect a file for details.
